LAUNCHING: This is a matter of opinion. I had no problem whatsoever launching my Z after a lightweight Fidanza flywheel. Proof by contradiction. =) Honestly, its really just getting used to something new. Practice on a new flywheel, your brain will do the rest. Heres an unpleasant analogy (for some): Calculus is definitely harder than algebra. But I am 100% as comfortable doing calculus as I am doing algebra (lol if not more so). Its becasue, once you learn to do something it doest feel hard. Same with the flywheel. Launchign on a heavy flywheel MIGHT be harder, but once you learn to launch on a light one, it wont matter.REV DROP: The RPM dropping is really somewhat irelevant. There are several reasons: 1. If you can shift really fast, the RPM difference will be negligible. 2. If you dont do much racing, you can still shift fast enough that the RPM will probably only drop an extra 50-100 RPM more than it would normally. But its also going to rise that much more quickly when you put the car in gear and give it gas while letting your clutch out. 2. MANY people never lift their foot off the gas between shifts. So instead of losing a couple extra RPM, theyre gaining that much more. If this doesnt convince you, then I dont know what will...You just need to get one and put it in. Youll see what Im talking about. Plus youll accelerate much better! =)
